Basic Warm/Cool Secondary Color Palette

If you want to add secondary colors to your collection, I suggest the following:

Cadmium Orange (warm)

Naples Yellow (cool)

Sap Green (warm)

Phthalo Green (cool)

Dioxazine Purple (warm)

Quinacridone or Cobalt Violet (cool)

Basic Neutrals Color Palette

Some neutrals or earth colors you might want to add:

Yellow Ochre

Burnt Sienna

Raw Umber

Titan Buff

Black Color Palette

If I need black for a painting I usually choose:

Ivory Black

Most often I mix a “black” using:

Alizarin Crimson + Ultramarine Blue or Phthalo Green
